Several Voices To Choose From
I have several voices sounding in my head lately. Some from outside sources, some from with-in. I've been taken down a few notches from the person I was a year ago. Having a rug (or your life) pulled out from under you will do that to you.
But God said in His Word, "Do not fear" 365 times. 365 times. Is it a coincidence that there are 365 days in the year and he told us not to fear 365 times? I don't think so. What helps me when the severity of life starts to shout in my head, is that I am told 'not to fear'. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.
I hope you play the video.

Love the Casting Crowns, have a couple of their songs as post workout stuff, yes this is Tom. Hey, check this site out http://www.ultimatewarrior.com/warriorsmachete/ This is a former Pro Wrestler who legally changed his name to Warrior. He is freaking insane. I like that in a person.
Scratches head and looks up at anonymous' comment...
Anyway, Kath, this video is beautiful. The words are what I needed to hear today.
"I will choose to listen and believe..."
Choosing to "listen" is a huge thing. I have several voices in my head too, but we won't go there. However, I can tell you this...God speaks to me in so many ways. He's opened my eyes to different ways of thinking about the circumstances that I've went through. I'm sure He's done that for you. And the thing is, you have to be totally 'open' to hear His voice. It's not an audible one per se, it's the one that you listen to with your heart.
I was praying to God the other day Kath, and I asked Him to take away my anxiety and fear. I opened up to this passage:
So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in Him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. ~Romans 15:13
And I pray that you have that peace and happiness that you deserve.
Fear is the emotion that the devil gives to us. God will never let you stumble Kath. You're loved by HIM! And it shows that you love Him as well!
God bless---praying for you!!!!

Deb, be nice to anonymous postings...the person could mean well...really...not kidding..LOL.
Every new day brings a new fear - we have to do what we can to overcome that and move on.
The only thing left to fear is fear itself. It leaves us paralyzed, and that is the worst feeling ever. Inadequat, insufficient, afraid...
I'm sure everything happens for a reason, and we all can either accept that or fight it. Either way, whether we choose road A or road B, we'll end up where we are supposed to end up. It might just take us a little longer.
Keep strong!
I know fear so well. Wow, do I ever.
I am learning how to live all over again this year, and when I hear messages like these, I get a little more hope back.
Thank you, my friend.
Casting Crowns is one of my favorite bands, because of the Truth that they sing about. Micah got me their newest CD for Christmas and it is awesome.
Thanks for sharing this. So many times many of us get paralyzed by fear, and it is good to be reminded that there is no place for fear in our lives when God is there to take it away if we would just let Him.
I hope that you and the boys are doing OK, I know what ya'll have been through this year has been so hard. I pray that the Lord will bind fear from your heart for the next 365 days and replace it with the peace and joy that only He can give. Love ya girl!!
tom ~ I never figured you for one to have Casting Crowns downloaded. You're a surprise a minute.
deb ~ yeah, I scratch my head at tom all the time.
I think fear is something that we create ourselves, but it's a vehicle that the devil sure knows how to drive.
Thanks for your prayers, I love and pray for you, too.
abi ~ you're welcome hon!
heart ~ there will always be something to fear as long as you're not crawled up in a hole without any obligations or responsiblilites. I believe it's up to us whether or not we allow ourselves to fear, though. Fears got a best buddy, and his name is self pity. They tend to go hand in hand, and as much as I hate to admit it, I've known them both.
nancy ~ hope and faith, they're our strongest allies.
michelle ~ fear does paralyze, especially our hope and our faith. Thanks for these words. Love ya back!!
Thanks for sharing that Kathi!
It made my day!
It is wonderful to have people like you that share the good stuff!
Margie
