Part Of Life
Strength comes by way of repetition. It may not be enjoyable, but it's needed. Needed sometimes more than others, and when we need it...we really need it.
I know that strength in many things, in many ways, sometimes determines who we are and how we handle what comes our way through this journey of life. When things are sailing smoothly, we may forget how strong we actually are. But we are.
Tears are not a sign of weakness, they help to release the pain we can no longer hold inside. Tears refresh and renew, if we'll let them. Once released, we don't need them anymore. Sometimes they can clear the fog and once again we can see clearly.
Life changes. It can be frightening, it can be uncomfortable, and it can be inevitable. It can also be exciting, it can be challenging, and it can be worth it.
There are roads in life that we have to travel alone, and we have to be strong to take that first step. It's okay to rest, but it's important to keep going.
Fear is the anxiety that comes from not knowing. But once we realize that we are strong enough to do what needs to be done, if we'll see clearly that life changing doesn't mean life ending, and that as long as we have ourselves, we're never alone...fear will have no dominion over us.
Peace and love to you all.

That was very beautiful Kathi.
Thank you!
samuru999 ~ thanks sweetie, going through some stuff and blogging helps me to put it out there and see things more clearly. Thanks again.
You make me feel like a badass... lol
amanda ~ LOL, how so??
Love this post! You are SO right!!!!
But in today's society, we are all taught that 'strong' is requiered, and whenever you cry you come across as a weak, pathetic creature, ergo much less than what's desired.
'Oh, God, are you going to CRY or something?' pronounced with repulsed, loathing voice. Like it's truly a vice. Or even a sin...
We are sometimes our stongest selves when we ask for help. When we let other people know we can't do it all by ourselves.
Keep the good job up - I check your blog two-three times a day (might be slightly addicted), even though work say's 'no-no'! :D
heart ~ you know, that's so true for some of us who rarely, if ever, ask for help, that actually asking for help takes a great deal of inner strength. Good thought, thanks.
Oh...and thanks ever so much for the kind words.
Well, I guess I'll have to give out two 'Wow's for the day. WOW!
crystal ~ geeze, and I know that's alot for you, thanks. Thought about updating your blog lately? LOL.
choices ~ thanks. True, and the same to you.
Beautifully written Kath! I needed to hear this----especially today!
I was telling my friend the other day (as she sobbed to me about a circumstance in her life) that it was okay to cry. And if she didn't release her tears as you put it---it would come out in another form---which she doesn't want to happen. I think it's healthy to cty it out and get rid of the negative energy before it festers inside us.
Love you!!! xxoo!!!
deb ~ yup, festering is no good. It comes out as anger, hostility and even revenge, and seldom on those who the tears were for in the first place.
love you TOOOO!!
love ya kathi
abi
Kathi this is beautiful :)
I left a comment on yesterdays post too, please check it out
*big hugs*
My cousin and I were having a conversation this past Friday about strength, life changes and how the down times can drive you almost to a place of hysteria as wonder "why me?" or "what's goin' on here?"
"It's okay to rest, but it's important to keep going." <---that's exactly what my cousin was admonishing me to do.
i think a lot of cancers are caused by the things we keep inside... but that's a bit heretical :)
abi ~ right back at'cha.
huneeb ~ thanks, and will do. Big hugs right back.
shawn ~ I like your cousin. :)
sass ~ could be, stress is the root to many ailments.
Kathi, I wrote something today. Not exactly what you are looking for probably, but it's something.
That was great, Kathi :)
crystal ~ how do you know what I'm looking for? Even I don't know what I'm looking for, lol.
leesa ~ thanks, appreciate it.
yeah! screw that fear having dominion crap!
sorry ... still sleep groggy ;)
dzer ~ lol, smartass.
Good reflection. It definitely gives me something to think about
How very true. What a wise woman you are. You have given me food for thought :)
You're so right, fear is a perception...not a reality. Most important, fear is mostly resistance to growth, a natural process...great post, thank you
