MY LIFE AS I LIVE IT

I'm a single mom with two great kids living near Dallas, Texas. This is my life; day to day things that are probably only important to me. This is my record of my ups, my downs and the road that I've taken along the way. For whatever reason YOU'RE here, I hope you find something you can enjoy and/or relate to. God bless.

Thursday

Today and tomorrow I'm a geography teacher. However, the teacher I'm subbing for is a coach and only has 2 classes a day, so the rest of those 5 periods I'll be floating wherever they need me to be. Better wear my comfy shoes, which are my Crocs and go with absolutely nothing but jeans. Hmmmm, wish I cared, but I don't. I'll go comfy instead of trendy every time.

Oh, and I missed Idol last night. I heard Katheryn McPhee was in the bottom 3. Wow, I'm going to have to start voting. :) Yeah, I admit it...I've only voted a few times in all the years the show has been on.

It's sad when the boys are telling me to get off the computer and get ready for school. LOL. Thanks guys, love you too!

Hope y'all enjoy your day.

I don't really watch AI anymore. I have too much going on and I can't see myself committing that much time to it.

Have a fun day at school though :)

Have a good day & hope it goes well. I'm with you on the comfortable clothes!! You'll never catch me in a pair of pointy heels. Why on earth would I want to torture my feet that way????? My husband thinks I'm hot in jeans, button down shirt and flip-flops. What a GOOD man!!! :o)

I commend you, Kathi! My mom is a retired teacher. It's rough, especially in the Texas school system. Did you comment on my latest film post yet? I just did the sequel to " My Most Overrated Films ". See if you agree with any on my list. Love you!

Ummmm, did I read that right? You went to teach wearing only a pair of shoes and some jeans? Wow, my teachers were never that relaxed. Most wore a shirt or something every day. ;)

When I'm absent, I don't get to have a sub because I'm the computer teacher. We don't even allow subs to bring classes to the computer lab if I'm not there, ever since one shut down everything, even the servers..!

I don't watch AI myself, and only watched it for a few days last year when our two Hawaii girls were on. "Lost" is better entertainment :)

abi ~ thanks honey bunny!! Did Cosme tell you that he's came by a couple of times.

shawn ~ thanks, hope you did too.

deb ~ I didn't see it, who is Shakira?

trailady ~ we're alot alike there, and we both have good men too. :)

stacy d ~ nope, haven't been there yet, but I'll try to get by tonight. I love you TOO!!!

mike ~ lol, casey told me tonight that he is giving up the computer for 4 days...wow. Something about what they were talking about Wednesday night at youth group. Works for me.

sable ~ you are so bad!! You behave yourself or I'll have to put you in time out. :) Genna!!!!

hizzyfitz ~ I can see that. I took over a computer class long term about 5 years ago. Had it for 18 weeks. I had a ball, but I can definitely see that happening, they have enough problems the way it is with computers in the school. Students and servers don't always play well, lol.

I love geography. When there was no internet and TV programs were not all that good (back in the 80's) geography was my escape to places. I could spend hours visualizing what Ghana would be like or how sunny perth would be or how lively singapore would be

cheers, have a GREAT WEEKEND

Geography, is that the study of Geos...the sad little car from the late 80's and early 90's? Strange that a school would focus on such things...but it is Texas. Hey, missed your blog. I have had some computer problems, and then went on a bit of a holiday in honor of the unabomber, well not the bombing part...just the anti-technology bit. I have to tell you, vogue magazine is not as good as it was when I was a kid (no internet porn...a man has to do what a man has to do...)Oops, tell your kids not to read that part. I could just erase it, but I am way too lazy...

American Idol? I wonder if our American Idol should really be judged by a closet homosexual from Great Britain? (Great my ass, Good Britain…nice Britain…Bad Hygiene Britain is more like it.) It’s says American in the show. Hello? We kicked the Brits ass twice about 200 years ago, and won two world wars so they could continue eating Fish and Chips instead of sauerkraut. Now we have some little twit telling us who our new idol should be? I don’t think so. I say put an American Jack ass in the place of little Simon. I can think of many that would do. I wonder if hiring him was part of the little known GBFTA? Just like NAFTA but with Great Britain instead. I think we have deals with them for warm beer, dentists, and when we feel the need for a Queen, other than Boy George. Oh btw, hope your weekend was fun.
