MY LIFE AS I LIVE IT

I'm a single mom with two great kids living near Dallas, Texas. This is my life; day to day things that are probably only important to me. This is my record of my ups, my downs and the road that I've taken along the way. For whatever reason YOU'RE here, I hope you find something you can enjoy and/or relate to. God bless.

My Friday

The guys are off to school (after being home yesterday for a bad weather day), I've got the most gorgeous fire going in the fireplace and I'm listening to Al Green sing 'Funny How Time Slips Away' while finishing my coffee. I mean, honestly people, does it get any better than this?

Oh, Ms. Kathi, that sounds lovely. I wish I could join you in a cup. But at times I like the solitude of being the only one in the house.

I wrote about you today.

How about a bear rug and your favorite guy to share it with in front of the fire?

hizzle-sweet-thizzle ~ You're going to faint at this, but I don't do baths. It's a childhood thing...think I blogged about it before. My son fixed me some hot cocoa before he left for school (great kid, huh?) Sorry about your sick one though. Praying for him now.
No drive through...did you get how I like being alone ? LOL, hugs babe.

Hey Kathi. Just wanted to let you know I am reading. But you still have me pondering on the 70's and 2005's post. Can you believe that? I mean, I have been trying to figure out what to say for days. Seriously. I am a weirdo I know. But just wanted to let you know that I envy the 70's. The music, the fashion, the courage. Everything. I think the 70's is really underrated.
Also, and this is really so irrelevant. I frown at my mother for talking about today's youth and the provactive clothing. Because those hot pants, those really short baby doll dresses, and the shirts that had no buttons and (I assuming) needed tape were very sexy. The fashion was very daring. I have yet to see a picture of anybody in the 70s(like my friends parents, my parents, etc) that weren't cool.
I don't know where I was going with this comment. Me being it up was very spontaneous. With all that rambling said...
Hi! How are you?

Now your starting to sound like your OLD self again! Snow day here today so I can relate to that feeling of being trapped with too many people in the house. I won't get the day after like you. My son conveniently got a three day weekend out of this deal.
Put an extra log on the fire and enjoy!

2 things!!

1st: thing my son is down in Texas (San Antonio) Lackland Air Force Base in basic training. Just thought I would point that out.

2nd: I love Al Green and We got 8" inches of snow last night and I am trying to deal with the shit storm that that created here at work!! Remember I have like 80 drivers I am waiting for to get in after a nice long day of hauling garbage!!!
So enjoy your fire!!!

Yours truly
Big Bill

No--it doesn't get better than that. Alone time is so needed. In fact, before I start work (cause I work at home) I do a little meditation AND medication time---have my coffee, sit, pray, and relax, while no one is there. I do this every single day. It really helps me mentally. (Now you're really not going to listen to me, are ya?)

Sounds like a great day though!
