MY LIFE AS I LIVE IT

I'm a single mom with two great kids living near Dallas, Texas. This is my life; day to day things that are probably only important to me. This is my record of my ups, my downs and the road that I've taken along the way. For whatever reason YOU'RE here, I hope you find something you can enjoy and/or relate to. God bless.

Christian the lion

I know y'all have probably already seen this, but today was my first time and I've watched it over and over. Each time I've cried...all happy tears.

Here is a picture of Christian when he was a cub living in their apartment:

I'll be watching this many times.

I have never seen or even heard of this, but like you had tears in my eyes just now as I watched it unfold.

What an amazing moment that must have been for those 3 friends.

I haven't seen that before either! No matter what you believe, it took mad guts to stand there as that lion approached!

What happens if the people you are supposed to reach out to are meaner than a wild lion? Still supposed to extend the olive branch ;~)

lovelladro ~ they did take a huge chance there, I agree. Amazing.

I did some research...the information on the video isn't completely accurate...the story is even better....they went to see him 5 years after, not only one, and also.....the guy that took him to Africa for them....said before they arrive there.......We haven't seen Christian in 9 months...he probably won't be here when you are here.....but the guys came anyways.

The video says they looked for the pride, but actually, the night the guys arrived, they said Christian showed up outside their camp, like he knew they were there. Check out this info...

That is too funny Johnnie...I immediately went to snopes after I watched the video too. And like you thought that the "real" story was much better.

Oh and Kathi, I love your new profile picture, your hair looks really pretty.

Michelle is right, love the new pic! You're gorgeous!

I saw that story several months ago, and didn't know if there was any truth in it. Snopes now verifies it...how heart-warming, it sure does bring tears to the eyes.

OMG the first time I saw this I was in shock. I seriously thought they were going to get eaten. Isn't it amazing how they remembered them?

By the way---LOVE YOUR NEW PHOTO! You're so beautiful Kath!!!! :)

Kathi thanks for sharing this. It was beautiful. I watched it several times because I thought something terrible was going to happen so I kept turning away from it. It was really beautiful.

Kathi I meant to tell you that I love your new picture.

I loved it and will be passing on this uplifting story of love. I was interested in more and enjoyed the YouTube video "Christian the Lion - A Wonderful Legacy."
