MY LIFE AS I LIVE IT

I'm a single mom with two great kids living near Dallas, Texas. This is my life; day to day things that are probably only important to me. This is my record of my ups, my downs and the road that I've taken along the way. For whatever reason YOU'RE here, I hope you find something you can enjoy and/or relate to. God bless.

All Alone & Grateful

I'm looking forward to my afternoon and my evening. One of the men that works for Mark is having a pig roast and they invited us. I'm a vegetarian, and have no desire to even be in the vicinity of the smell this will give off. Mark is taking the boys, and they're all excited about it (it will be the boys first pig roast). Mark said it was a 400 lb. hog. Nasty.
I've rented a couple of movies, bought a book and a bottle of wine. You'd think they were going to be gone for a few days, but a girl can dream. I'm just so excited about having the alone time. Mark can't drink at all while he's on the treatment for the Hepatitis C, so they probably won't stay as late as he would otherwise...but I'm hoping for at least 3 to 6 hours by myself. Can you tell I'm excited?

Ooh, Hepatitis? I hope C is the kind you can recover from. I used to know, but I have forgotten.

Hope you have a great afternoon all alone and happy!

Hey I noticed you said you are a vegeaterian. I have a 12 year old daughter who is trying to be a vegeaterian because of her beliefs on animal cruelity, or just on not wanting to see animals being hurt. She won't watch a movie if the dog in it gets hurts. I am just concerned on her not getting enough of RDA of protien and such. How do you suppliment and have you had any failures or issues? Once in a while we get her to eat meat so it's not like she is totally void of meat protien but she loads up on CARBS!!! The enemy to guys like me!! I know she gets protien from milk but she doesn't like eggs and for while we had her drinknig soy milk which is another source of protien but now it tastes funny to her.. I wonder if watch her Dad (me) actually eating a whole chicken at dinner and seeing a meatless carcass sitting on plate turned her off of meat? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated so I can worry more or at least set her in right direction. I here of this Flu thats headed our way this year that is supposed to kill billions of people? I don't know if it sBS or true but I know that your diet needs to be up to par or you will get sick in the Winter when things get closed up and people huddle together in classrooms...

400 lb hog. Hmm, you sure you're not referring to an ex of mine I dated years back? Hmm.

Alone time. Not a bad concept. The other night, my girlfriend had to work till 8pm, which she normally comes home around 5ish. When she walked in, she's like, "I missed you so much!"

All I could do was look at her and say, "Why you home so early????"

Bad sign, huh? hehee.

Everyone needs time alone. Sometimes people are lonely---even when they are surrounded by 100 people. You are fortunate to have such a loving and close family, BUT------there's nothing like runnign a hot bath in an empty house, putting on some soothing music, opening a bottle of wine ""just for you"" --- and taking it all in.

Calgon! (fill in the rest)

Hope you are enjoying your time! Sorry to hear about your husband's condition. You don't need alcohol to have a good time-- he has his sons along with him, so it's all good. :)

Have fun!

bill ~ answered you on your blog...hysterical pic, btw.

deb ~ hi honey!! It was a good night, and I had about 4 1/2 hours to myself. I don't care for baths...bad childhood memories *another blog story*. And hey, it coulda been your ex, dunno. Would it give you pleasure to know they peeled the meat away from the face to eat. Lord, that's just plain nasty what some people will eat.

blackops ~ darlin, it's interesting at my house 24/7. Now, get your butt in gear and give me some work!
