MY LIFE AS I LIVE IT

I'm a single mom with two great kids living near Dallas, Texas. This is my life; day to day things that are probably only important to me. This is my record of my ups, my downs and the road that I've taken along the way. For whatever reason YOU'RE here, I hope you find something you can enjoy and/or relate to. God bless.

First day back, and I'm tagged...

THE RULES: 1) Thank the person who tagged you. 2) List 5 strange/weird/random things about you. 3) Tag 5 people.

Thank you, kellie ... if you weren't so damn cute and sweet, and if I didn't love ya, I'd tell you to kma. But you are and I do...so I won't. :)

1.) I'm very shy and often insecure, which I can't figure out because, as a rule, I don't even like people.
2.) I love it when I beat my kids and/or hubby at a game of 'horse' (basketball).
3.) The angrier someone gets, the calmer I get.
4.) Whenever I tend to get scared about something, I literally picture myself in the palm of God's hand and it always brings me peace.
5.) Sometimes my accent is soooo southern that even my kids and husband make fun of me...and I'm from Indiana.

I am so bad at tagging people...so I'm gonna cheat and just beg some of you to do it!!

Welcome back...I was ready to send out an FBI search party for you...lol.

I think it's sort of funny that the angrier people get the calmer you get...in a good heated arguement that can soooo piss angry people off...I just can't seem to do that..I tend to get just as angry...that never helps anything...lol

funny...I never noticed your accent..(wink)..hehehe.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!

Hehe, I read fast and thought for a second you said "I love it when I beat my kids..." Woohoo. Discipline them early and sternly!! Haha.

When my wife goes off and wants to get into it, I simple get real quiet and that throws her right off the deep end which is great because I'm usually the one losing my nut. It's so much fun to wind her up like that! Don't tell her...

Kathi--I LOVE YOU GIRL!!! {{hugs}} Missed you like crazy! Glad you're back.

I loved what you said: "The angrier someone gets, the calmer I get."

That's the best thing you can do when someone gets angry. My girlfriend hates it when I become calm and quiet during an argument. She basically talks to the walls. haha! Love it!

Hope you had a great holiday!

abi ~ I hope you and your sweet family had a great Christmas. Did you talk to your dad?

Jan ~ Sorry, I was sure I'd told you I was leaving for Christmas. Hope yours was wonderful. I think I learned young that nothing good comes out of angry words.

Tom ~ You know, I had you figured for a guy who usually loses his nut.

Deb ~ You know what? I honestly missed you too. I was thinking on Christmas, I wished I had your phone # so I could have called. I love you too.

Mike ~ You're so sweet. I'm looking forward to getting caught up on your posts! Love thinking I was missed, very cool...thanks!

kevin ~ Such a smart ass. LOL, gotta come find out what movie lines I missed from you. Hope your holidays were awesome.

sable ~ Maybe if my A got K'd more, I wouldn't have such a thing for it. Hmmmmm?
Love and missed you lot's too. Didn't take your phone # or I woulda called you too. Wait...don't you have mine????

5 of some of the strange/weird/random things..
1. When something is difficult I usually yawn. I yawned once when trying to hit a big bench that set a National and meet record in the bench. I yawned as I was laying on the bench. I yawn when I meet a woman I know I have no shot at.
2. I sometimes lose track of reality when I am writing. I forget who I am, in a sense..especially if I am writing about something evil.
3. I never fit in anywhere, because I don't want to fit in. I think if I am identified by a group or a movement then I will be part of that group and lose any individuality I have left. I would rather be a dick, then a follower.
4. I could kill someone, if I thought I was right, without feeling a ounce of remorse. But I couldn't hurt a person in the least bit if I thought I was wrong. I have a very odd, but strong moral compass.
5. I like to show off in the gym, but would never admit to it. I enjoy being stronger than the steroid guys, or lifting two or three times as much as the next guy...and I really like it when they have their women with them. Of course, they leave witht the wimpy guys, probably detest my very existence, and would not date me if I was the last neanderthal on earth, but it's fun for a few minutes.

#5 is hysterical.

1)I ignore people when they're in my presence I don't feel like talking. You can ask me a gazillion questions and if I don't feel like talking I won't answer. Drives people crazy.

2)I'm phone junkie. I can talk on the phone all day everyday

3)Crowded places annoy me

4)I haven't washed my jeans in 3 months

5)I think french fries are the greatest food ever created

b) I eat potato chips with ketchup.
c) I proposed to my wife in Texas.
d) I once got so drunk that I danced with a palm tree on a beach in Hawaii...and a really was in Hawaii.
e) I have a pet ball python named Capone...but it's a girl.
3. I won't tag someone in comments, so everyone can relax.

casually me ~ so many things to comment on here. A couple...what do you write besides your blog? I gotta know. I hope you're not 'right' too often, or that sex in prison thing you were talking about could be a possiblity. Scary stuff. And...where can we watch you show off at? Just curious.

deb ~ yeah? then give.

shawn ~ I love when you open up, cause it's rare. Some of these surprised me. Never would have taken you for a phone junkie. Wondering if you walk the jeans or if they're walking you by now. 3 months?? Babe, send them to me, I'll wash them for you. I love fries too.

deb ~ the accent didn't come from Indiana, that's what we don't get. Don't know where it came from. Though I have lived in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas...

Cane ~ Thanks darlin, be by your place soon.

Nikki ~ Can't wait to see the pics. Be by soon.

dzer ~ Awwwww, I'm sorry hon. :)

kyuball ~ I loved your list too. I've always eaten chips with ketchup, and YOU are the FIRST one I've ever known to do it too! Wondering though, why do you still have lead in your hand, why didn't it ever work it's way out or get it removed?? Lead poisoning could explain a lot with you. :)

Kath,
You can never know how much your messages meant to me today. I love you, too, Bub. Your spirit is too hard to resist! I'm a fan as well so get writing. I want to see your book on my shelf!

WE INTERUPT THIS PROGRAM FOR SOME VERY BAD POETRY...

I can't resist you as you know
My undying love will only grow
Even though you get around
I'll fulfill your request, and dress like a clown
I'll honk my nose and dance like a fool
I'll even tell the kids at school
That I'm hot for teacher, and you know it well
I hope you don't mind, if I do tell.

I want your book too Kathi- when is it coming out? Are you writing one? Is there something I don't know about?

NOW BACK TO YOUR REGULAR SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING.

Those facts about you are so neat Kathi!!! Some one has to balance it out right (hostile situations). I am like that too. My parents and two older sisters are from Iowa. They are so proper. Don't ask me how I have gotten to be so southern.
