MY LIFE AS I LIVE IT

I'm a single mom with two great kids living near Dallas, Texas. This is my life; day to day things that are probably only important to me. This is my record of my ups, my downs and the road that I've taken along the way. For whatever reason YOU'RE here, I hope you find something you can enjoy and/or relate to. God bless.

When God Laughs

I do believe God has a great sense of humor. I believe this with all of my heart. And, sometimes, I believe that when we find ourselves on a road in our life that we'd have sworn we'd never take, that God laughs; He laughs because He knows that this was the road He'd intended for us from the very beginning...that all the other roads in our life had been leading us to this one.

We are such arrogant creatures.

I laughed with God a couple of months ago, and I couldn't stop. He's so amazing and I'm still in awe at what He can do.

When one door closes, another opens.

When I make plans to do something, God chuckles; when find myself somewhere other than I planned, God laughs out loud.

Yeah, it's all good, isn't it?

Sometimes we take roads that were not intended for us and we don't allow God's messages to pull us back in the right direction. Yes, we are arrogant and ignorant

I am right there with you... I think God enjoys watching us learn and grow. like the way we watch our children learn and grow... there is usually cause for laughter ;)

I will try to get a special picture of Adam just for you!

lovelladro ~ I've often referred to God feeling the same towards us, the joys and sorrows, ups and downs, as we do our own children. And getting a picture of Adam for me, baby!!

johnny ~ you're so funny...wait, yeah...you are. :) I know you love me, goof.

I came here to respond to a post that apparently is no longer here that I read in bloglines...I would like to say that I agree that it is definitely interesting to read back in the blog and see how things have changed. :-)

3 c's ~ what is 'bloglines'? You're right, I posted something that I regretted, so I deleted it. I didn't think I'd left it up long enough to be read. I felt that it gave a negative reference to my ex, and I don't like to do that, so after sleeping on it, I deleted it as soon as I got up in the morning. And you're right, I started blogging in July of 2005, and reading things from four years ago just amazes me how many things have changed...and, yet, how some things haven't. :)

Bloglines is a reader where you can enter the addresses of your favorite blogs and it keeps track of when there is a new post, so you don't have to click on so many different sites. It allows you to read the post on their site, then you click on it to go to the actual blog and comment. The only downside is that sometimes something like this happens, and something you decide not to keep posted gets read.

Incidentally, I didn't think it gave a negative reference to your ex. Obviously something wasn't working for at least one of you, or you'd still be together. I think you managed to convey that without saying anything rude. :-) Heck, I remember when it all happened, and you always handled the situation very gracefully in your blog, and were quite respectful to him.
